    Birman Rescue Information: The Birman is a breed of cat similar in appearance to a startlingly blue-eyed Siamese. Birmans are extremely affectionate and companionable. Birmans will not get in your way. The Birman is prized for its pleasant temperament.

    Birman Trivia: The Birman is known as the Sacred Cat of Burma. Cats similar to the Birman are described in ancient Thai writings. Birmans were sacred priestly cats of the Khmer People of ancient Thailand. The Birman was once known as the Lynx Cat of Laos.
